Why is this being presented as a great thing! The 2 hospitals are still not being funded equally with this model….as per original proposal. This is a step in the right direction…but more steps required until they live up to the original proposal of 2 equally funded hospitals

What is the outcome of the town’s consultant? Is common sense finally going to be the priority?
    Question for our officials…
Why is it that common sense is not prevailing? What a waste of everyone’s energy that is causing two of Muskoka ‘s vital areas community friction.
    Common sense…
1- If we cannot meet the demand of today, why is any downsizing being considered? Why is the board using outdated data? We should be growing our hospitals and not reducing medical services in either area. That should be the core of the plan.. Understanding both sites are over capacity, how can we use the government’s generous funding to improve both sites equally to meet the need of our communities?
2- Why are we not accepting the gracious offer of Mr Chen of 40 acres of land and $10million towards a new hospital in South Muskoka vs buying property (especially when there is a large cost to prepare it in advance of putting a shovel in the ground). It’s not too late…sell the land that was prematurely bought and accept Mr Chen’s offer.
3- How can we be accepting new development in our area if we cannot service what is already here?
4- Why is common sense not prevailing?
